Do you have players in mind that need to grow in how to be a leader or are lacking confidence to step into that role as an influencer on your team?

In the last few years we’ve hosted a Men’s and a Women’s Basketball Leadership Academy to aid in the development of team influencers.  We have had players attend from over 30 different Division 1 basketball programs including Tennessee, Duke, Texas A&M, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio State, Baylor, and NC State. It has been a successful tool that has positively impacted these programs.  Our Women’s Leadership Academy continues to grow each year and now extends across divisions. In the past we have had great leadership training from our guest speakers including Clark Kellogg, Tamika Catchings, Maya Moore, and Stephanie Zonars.

Athletes in Action Basketball would like to invest in your team’s leaders and help athletes use this time well to prepare for next season! Our experienced staff and scheduled speakers will spend the weekend working with your team’s influencers to affect change in your locker room and produce results on the court. Our Division I Women’s Basketball Captain’s Academy is usually held at Athletes in Action’s Total Athlete Complex in Ohio, but is now coming to your office or living room via ZOOM.

This Academy is completely FREE except for your full commitment to engage for 6 hours over the weekend! We will join each other for 2 hours each day Friday-Sunday. During our sessions your players will be divided into cohort groups and have live video conference calls with current and former professional players, coaches and leaders.

A sample schedule for the weekend includes:

1st day: Friday, April 24 (2 hours)

2nd day: Saturday, April 25 (2 hours)

3rd day: Sunday, April 26 (2 hours)
